TierOne Weekly Challenge: Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
Practice season: contests currently award no prizes. Cash prizes begin at official launch, when these Rules will be updated with the sponsor's legal name and mailing address.
1. Sponsor and agreement
The TierOne Weekly Challenge (the "Contest") is sponsored by TierOne Fantasy ("Sponsor"), Ohio. It is a game of skill: winners are determined solely by the fantasy points their lineups score under these Rules.
By submitting a lineup, you agree to these Rules and to Sponsor's decisions, which are final. The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the National Football League, any NFL team or player, Apple or Google.
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 (or the age of majority in their state, if older). One account per person. Accounts must have a verified email address.
Not eligible: Sponsor's owners, employees, contractors and agents, and their immediate family and household members. Sponsor may ask any entrant to prove eligibility at any time.
3. Contest weeks and entry deadline
Each NFL regular-season week Sponsor offers is a separate contest with its own prizes. A week opens when Sponsor posts that week's player list and salaries.
Entry deadline: 6:59 PM ET on the Thursday of that week, or 1 hour before the week's first NFL kickoff if that is earlier. Sponsor's server clock is the official time.
4. How to enter
Entry is free. Every verified account receives 1 free entry when a week opens, and may claim 1 bonus entry every 2 hours by logging in and selecting "Claim bonus entry," up to 5 bonus entries per calendar day (Eastern Time).
Entries are never sold and cannot be earned by any purchase, subscription, watching an advertisement, referring others or signing up with any third party. Every account has the same entry opportunities.
1 entry = 1 lineup. An account may submit several lineups in a week, but no two of its lineups may contain the same players. Unused entries expire at the deadline and have no cash value. Entries made by bots, scripts or anyone other than the account holder are void.
5. Lineups
Each lineup has 12 spots: 2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 TE, 2 FLEX (RB, WR or TE), 1 K and 1 DST. Total salary may not exceed $60,000. Only players on that week's player list may be used, each once per lineup.
No edits: submitted lineups cannot be changed or withdrawn for any reason, including injuries, inactive players, trades, weather or schedule changes. Players in shortened, suspended, postponed or canceled games keep only the points they actually earned during that week, which may be zero.
6. Scoring
Full PPR: passing yard 0.04, passing TD 4, interception โ2, rushing/receiving yard 0.1, rushing/receiving TD 6, reception 1, 2-point conversion 2, fumble lost โ2, return TD 6. Kicker: field goal 0โ39 yds 3, 40โ49 yds 4, 50+ yds 5, extra point made 1, missed โ1. DST: sack 1, interception or fumble recovery 2, safety 2, defensive or return TD 6, points allowed 0 / 1โ6 / 7โ13 / 14โ20 / 21โ27 / 28โ34 / 35+ = 10 / 7 / 4 / 1 / 0 / โ1 / โ4.
Statistics: official NFL statistics as published through nflverse and collected after the week's last game. Corrections made before results are posted count; posted results are final.
7. Winners, ties and prizes
During the practice season no prizes are awarded. At launch, the 3 highest-scoring lineups each week will win $50, $10, $5. There is no tiebreaker: tied lineups split the prizes for the places they occupy evenly (for example, two lineups tied for 1st split the 1st and 2nd prizes, and the next lineup finishes 3rd). One account may win more than one prize in a week.
8. Claiming prizes and taxes
Winners are notified by email and must reply within 7 days with their PayPal account and any verification Sponsor requests; otherwise the prize is forfeited and not re-awarded. Prizes are paid by PayPal in U.S. dollars and are taxable income. A winner whose prizes from Sponsor total $2,000 or more in a calendar year must provide IRS Form W-9 before payment, and Sponsor will issue Form 1099-MISC as required.
9. Conduct, disqualification and changes
Sponsor may disqualify entrants, void lineups and withhold prizes for multiple accounts, automated entry, collusion, false information or tampering. Sponsor may suspend, change or cancel a contest week if fraud, technical failure, data errors or schedule disruptions affect its fairness. Rule changes apply to future weeks only, unless required by law.
10. Liability, disputes and privacy
To the extent allowed by law, entrants release Sponsor from claims arising from the Contest, and Sponsor's liability is limited to the value of any prize the entrant was entitled to. Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures or errors in third-party data.
These Rules are governed by Ohio law. Disputes are resolved individually, without class actions, in the state or federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Personal information is used to run the Contest, verify winners and meet tax requirements. Sponsor may publish a winner's username, state and prize amount.
